I Wonder?: Is It Ok To Have Different Blinds In My House? Please Advise!!!?

I have white faux wood plantation blinds in the front of the house so that it will look uniform from the outside, but I wanted a different look in some of the bedrooms that are at the back of the house, so I purchased bamboo plantation blinds. Should all blinds in a house be the same color? Is there some kind of decorating rule that I do not know about?

each room can have its own distinct style.
but sometimes its a good idea to have the house appear uniform from the outside front view. this is especially true in certain architectural styles that are both formal and symmetrical.
such as Federal, Georgian, Plantation (Greek revival).
these style of houses always have the same number of windows spaced in even rows on either side of a central door. they usually appear to have identical blinds from the outside, however the interior drapes may be completely different in each room.
if i owned a home like this, i would probably try to keep the windows at the front all looking very similar from an outside perspective. i would do this only because it maintains the integrity of the house style. And its always best to work with your architectural style rather than against it.
I have one decorating rule: if I like it, it’s good. So, if you like having different blinds, go for it. You rebel.
As long as all the blinds in that room match, go for it. What you like is what should be in your home.
The first rule of decorating is ,there are none.Your home is your personal taste and anything goes as long as you like it.it makes you feel good then go for it.
Having everything the same in each room is very boring.
its not illegal so why wouldn’t it be ok. as long as they keep sunlight out, they do their job, so i’d say it’s A-Ok.
