Anyone Know Anyhting About This?

me and some friends were staying at point pleasant. the other night we had the crap scared out of us by some local pranksters. i was doing some work on a laptop, around 6ish in the afternoon, when I opened the shutters to get some light into the room. Right at the window was a guy in a costume with a black beak! I freaked the **** out and backed away asap. he (or she for all i know) started flapping mini-wings attached to the suit and I slammed the door of my room behind me. I felt like my heart was going to explode. I called my friends and we quickly locked all the doors. we picked up the phone to call the police, but the phone just kept on making obscure ‘caw’ing sounds. we were walked around the house (interior, no way I was going outside) checking it was secure when 2 of my friends screamed and said they saw some kind of bird/vampire thing with red eyes! wtf? does anyone know anything about this, do they celebrate haloween at a different time of year down there?

I don’t know anything about it – but congrats on assuming it is pranksters instead of – ‘OMG I saw a demon or ghost ‘!!! Which is the conclusion the less logical posters here draw based on any unexplained occurrence from rustling in the closet to a kiddy’s toy malfunctioning.
Sounds like someone put on quite an elaborate prank. It sucks you were on the receiving end rather than with those who were pulling it. Unfortunately, with such pranks the fun is rather one-sided. You could try to figure out who it is and pull a revenge prank, but I’m sure you’d rather just enjoy your vacation.
Well, there is certainly nothing pleasant about your trip to point pleasant! Haha.
Sounds like pranksters… although, I have no idea how they put their cawing sounds into the phone.
That would freak me out baaddd.
Anyway, I’m glad you survived!
Point Pleasant in New Jersey? I don’t live too far from there. I can vouch for some world class pranksters around here. You are honored. To have seen a Jersey Prankster in action is good fortune indeed. It pains me that so many in the world will never experience what you have.
Now on a different note, there is the famous legend of the “Jersey Devil”. One of several monsters people say are native to Jersey. I’ve listed a couple of links about it.
I’m assuming that because you’re talking about a bird/vampire with red eyes, you’re talking about Point Pleasant, West Virginia… and the bird thing is known as the Mothman, which is a local legend up there.
Check out these links.. they’ll give you a background story and give you some info about how terrifying the Mothman was back whenever it was seen in that area. As far as the pranksters go… people are stupid, lol. The end.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mothmanhttp://www.prairieghosts.com/moth.html
